Driving Directions
If you wish to use Google Maps, enter "Alexander M Bracken Library" as the destination, or use the linked "Library and Parking Map" (below) to pinpoint an intersection nearest the desired parking structure. Or:
To the Emens parking structure from the north:
Follow your favorite route to I-69. Take I-69 south to Exit 41 (Muncie/Frankton – Highway 332). Turn left (east) onto Highway 332 and follow it for about 8 miles to Tillotson Ave. (the 4th stop light). Turn right (south) onto Tillotson, passing the football stadium, to the first light (Bethel Ave.).
* Turn left (east) on Bethel Ave. and take it to the second light (McKinley Ave.). Turn right (south) onto McKinley Ave. to the second light. Turn left (east) onto Riverside Ave. Drive beyond Emens auditorium on the left. Turn onto the first road on the left (it is unnamed). Continue a short distance until the parking garage is in sight.
Bracken Library is the large multi-story dark brick building to the immediate west of the parking structure. Entrances are located on the north and south sides.
To the Emens parking structure from the south:

Follow Highway 35 North to Muncie where it exits to the right and merges with Highways 67 and 3 to become a bypass. Ignore the sign directing you to go straight to Ball State. Follow the bypass to McGalliard Rd. Turn left (west) onto McGalliard Rd. and follow it for about 4 miles to Tillotson Ave. (the football stadium is on the left). Turn left (south) onto Tillotson Ave. to the first light (Bethel Ave.). Proceed following paragraph two (*) of the from the north directions above.
To the Emens parking structure from the west:
Follow 332 east of I-69 for about 8 miles to Tillotson Ave. (the 4th stop light). Turn right (south) onto Tillotson, passing the football stadium, to the first light (Bethel Ave.). Proceed following paragraph two (*) of the from the north directions above.

Conference attendees must pay for parking upon arrival.
- The Emens parking structure (located closest to the library, where the conference is being held) costs approximately $1 / hour or $5 / day.
- You can reach the Emens parking structure from Riverside Ave. on the south side.
- Park on the third floor of the garage, and pay at the machines located at the stairwells. The machines accept $1 bills and $5 bills. The machines do not give change. A change machine located inside the library can provide $1 bills for your $5, $10, or $20 bills. In order to utilize this to pay for parking, you will have to retrace your steps, though!
- You have the option of printing a receipt for your parking at the machine (handy for those requesting reimbursement from their employer).

If the Emens parking garage is full, try these other options:
- McKinley parking structure: Located off McKinley Ave., the metered spaces are on the ground floor. It is about a five minute walk to Bracken Library.
- Student center parking structure: The entrance is reached via College Ave. Metered spaces are on the ground floor. It is about a 7-10 minute walk to Bracken Library.
